Singapore 608532

Operating Hours:
Open 11:30am - 10pm daily

Located in Orchard Central where The Original Churros was ironically. Now with this Bingsu replacing it's former location, it will be the only place that will come to your mind when you think of Bingsu.

All righty, here's our review on it...

If you are trying to beat Singapore's weather, but feel like having something other than ice-cream, this is what you should go for! They have an array of Bingsu's from fruits, cookies to green tea. Their fruits are fresh and toppings given were GENEROUS even enough it was free because of their opening special. Each and every Bingsu had lots of hard work being put into making them, from Oreos that were crushed, to the rice cake that were handmade. You can even see them preparing the deserts in front of your eyes. All of them tasted just so good, till you wished you had more room to try them all. You will be spoiled for choices.

Prices:
The Bingsu ranges from: $12.90-$15.90
Side menu items: $4.50-$7.90
Drinks: $3.90-$5.90

Lets just say that the girls went there for all 3 days that the Bingsu's were free, so yeah that proves that it's good! But don't take my word for it go down and give it a shot! Oh the service there is great as well!

Honey Bread (Must Try)

As you can see it seems like a very cool place to hang out too!

The Original Churro

The Original Churro

181 Orchard Road,
#05-51/52 Orchard Central,
Singapore 238896
Operating Hours:
Open 11:30am to 10pm Daily

Located in Orchard Central, a place that is determined to make Spanish
Doughnuts the only name people think of when they
want the authentic churro experience.

Here's our review on it...

If you love the taste of fried fries-doughnuts then you'll love this.
Their churros are a mix of taste from doughnuts and fries (not exactly fries),
with the inside soft and fluffy while the outside being crispy
and sweet (with a sprinkle of icing sugar).

Well I know that USS's churros were awesome but The Original Churro is here for all you chocoholics out there.

Prices :
$3.60 for churros with fillings
                $6.90 for 3 churros /$9.90 for 6 churros
with chocolate of your choice (milk/white/dark)
$9.90 for Choco churrito's (with 3 types of chocolate)

****highly addictive****

Felicia didn't like it as she preferred softer and chewy-er (?) churros, but
I liked this one. I had a sore throat on the way home so...... Please
share this with your friends as the both of us
consumed the whole of choco churrito's by ourself ;) It was
too addictive and too dry for our throats.

Club Street Social

Club Street Social

5 Gemmill Lane, off Club Street

Price: $12-$20 ( Average )

Mon to Fri: 11am – 10.30pm

Sat: 9am – 10.30pm

Sun: 9am – 9pm

Located on Gemmil lane, in a little street that gave off a chill vibe.
Nearest Mrt is Telok Ayer downtown line station.

We headed to Club Street Social today as it was a highly recommended place
to dine at by some of the popular food bloggers online.

So here's our review on it.....

 Macchiato - $4.50
Latte $ 5.50

Frankly speaking, the coffee there aren't the greatest compared to other coffee places. The Macchiato had a very strong coffee taste but was not rich enough. Latte was over-steamed and lost the sweetness of the milk, the amount of foam given were too much as well. One thing i did liked about their coffee were the biscuits provided in a plastic wrapper (who doesn't).

Scrambled Eggs, Fontina, Chives, Rye toast
$13

Their scrambled eggs were fantastic and was by far the best scrambled eggs i've had.
It was creamy and well seasoned, did not taste bland and it felt
like they'd used stock to make them...but they didn't.
The bread was crispy but tough, it was a little too hard to bite/chew on it but was
alright when i ate them with eggs.

Overall ratings - 4.5/5

Social Burger, Fontina, Truffle mayo, Side Salad
$20

The beef patty were thick and juicy (super), the best burger i've eaten, they were grilled to perfection with the inside still being moist and juicy. The truffle mayo complimented the beef patty, making the burger eating experience better. Salad was the perfect sides to go with as eating the burger alone was too heavy, so the salad cleared up your taste buds.
One word to describe it ... HEAVEN

Overall rating : 4.5/5

Bacon Egg Panini
$15.90

The bacon was too soft for my liking as i would prefer crispy bacon, it was not flavoured well enough so it turned out a little too bland. The eggs were good and well prepared but the bread was horrible. It was too hard to bite/chew on and ruined the whole panini.
It would be much more enjoyable to eat it if the bread were softer and sides were given.

Overall rating - 3.5/5

Roast Chicken , Tomato, Pesto Panini
$15

The roasted chicken in was a little too hard to chew on and the flavour just didn't came out,
it was dry and bland. The tomatoes and pesto sauce did not help in making the
panini taste better. The whole dish tasted bland and dry so
i would not recommend this to anyone. The bread in Club street Social are hard
and non-crispy at all. One tip for them is to put pastas on the menu.

Overall rating - 3/5

 Wild Mushroom Soup
$12

"This is seriously good" - Jia Jing
This Wild Mushroom soup was creamy but not too creamy.
(i know how sick you can get from drinking soups that are too creamy)
The mushroom were blended before adding into the soup hence no chewing was needed, the cream in the soup were not too thick, in fact they were well
seasoned and super well made. No words
could describe the burst of delight and enjoyment from drinking this, so if you are a mushroom soup lover and isn't afraid of the
wild mushrooms smell..... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS.

Overall ratings: 4.8/5

Meatballs in Marinara sauce
$12

The beef were fresh and well seasoned, however they were too tough and weren't
juicy enough, i think Ikea meatballs are 10x better even
though they used frozen meatballs. They were only 'edible' with the marinara sauce that was FANTASTIC. The sauce were filled with 'freshness' from the tomatoes but was sweet as
well, i hate tomatoes but this sauce is amazing.
I think that they should have pasta in Marinara sauce instead of meatballs.

Sunday folks @ Chip Bee Gardens

Sunday folks

44 Jalan Merah Saga #01-52
Chip Bee Gardens
Singapore 278116
Average price: $6.90-$11.90++
 Opening hrs:
4pm – 10pm Weekdays

12noon 10pm Weekends
Closed on Mondays

Located at Chip Bee Gardens- nearest MRT station Holland Village Circle Line station,
along the stretch of shop houses where daily scoop is (all the way upfront).

We went there with a goal in mind, to taste the Insta-worthy waffles

that kept appearing on your Instagram pages. We clearly did not
research well enough as we went there during lunch hour to find the place
closed, so we initially thought
that they were closed on Fridays till we read the sign which
states that operating hours are
from
4pm to 9.30pm on Tuesday to Friday
and
12noon to 10pm on weekends.

Do note that they are CLOSED on Mond
ays so
please do not come on Mondays like i did the other time.

Their ice cream comes in 6 beautifully swirled soft serve
flavours- Summer Strawberries, Roasted Pistachio, Earl Grey Lavender,
Madagascar Vanilla, Seasalt Gula Melaka and Dark Chocolate.

Waffles are a must have when you dine at Sunday folks, their waffles comes

with a soft swirled ice cream in your choice of flavour
with chocolate- honey syrup and blueberries-strawberries
at the side.
I highly recommend their Madagascar vanilla ice cream flavour as they used pure
vanilla beans so the flavour is much richer.

*Note that waiting time for the waffles are 20min to an hour and that the queue there

was quite long when we first got there.

For cakes, their Matcha Cake cost $7.90 - moist, soft with a subtle matcha
taste layered with light cream cheese.

Their queue was crazily long as they did not have servers coming up to take your orders but on the bright side, this place did not charge for service. Waiting in line for 5-10minutes to save on $2-$5 of service charge? I think it is worth it.

the5brokenjawbreakers visited Holland village today in search of mouth
watering and highly raved food, we visited PARK. which
was located next to an open area, that was relatively easy to find
(just locate a yellow canopy with the word PARK. on it).

Located in Holland Village, a gastropub that serves burgers, sandwiches, pastas, deserts, ect...

Here's our reviews on the food (so far) :

Crispy Juicy Chicken Honey Oat Burger

Looks can be deciving, however this honey oat burger was deliciously

well prepared. Crispy chicken thigh with mayo, lettuce
and tomatoes in a healthy honey oat bun which brought out a hint of sweetness.
This set comes with 2 greens or carbs of your choice -
musclun salad, pesto tomato salad or fries, mashed potato. The Chicken was very well prepared,  juicy succulent chicken thigh
deep fried to a perfect gp;den brown crisp (yet non greasy). The burger was a little too big unlike your normal
Mc Donalds burger so i had
to split the burger into half. The bun tasted fine on its own as it is soft yet slighty crispy at the sides and was midly sweet. Service and food were both great as the servers came to us a
few times to give us a refill on our water.
Overall ratings: 4/5

Thai Thigh Burger

The burger had a tinge of sweetness and is quite soft for its texture, there were also

raw oats on top of the bread. The chicken was nicely grilled and
had a slightly burnt flavour that was to
my liking, the sourness from chopped tomatoes and thai sauce brought out many layers of the burger that was sweet, sour, salty and spicy. It was not only appetizing but also
nutritious as it had a good amount of vegetables in it.This set comes
with two sides (same as the chicken burger) in which i chose the mesclun salad-normal greens with a savoury and sour sauce dressing and mashed potato. The mashed potato
was creamy and smooth with a nice fragrant flavour to it and was not too bland.
The quality and quantity of it was reasonable.
Overall ratings:  3.8/5

Smoked Duck Risotto with Sauteed Mushrooms

The rice were well suited for my taste, soft yet slighly firm (not your average white rice). The smoked duck were tender and well flavoured and mushrooms were soft and juicy.

The seasonings was just right, not too sweet nor too salty.
Overall ratings : 3.5/5

Pulled Pork Burger

Pulled Pork Burger was fantastic, juicy and moist pulled pork accompanied by leafy greens and a slightly sweet sesame bun. Side dishes were fries and mashed potato-

fries tasted ordinary but the mash was creamy and tasty.
One tip on how to enjoy this burger is to really USE YOUR HANDS as the meat would slip off the burger and trust me, its better to have a bit of everything rather than to only taste the buns.
